Staying Rooted
Things are heating up outside so cultivating a nice space inside is more important than ever. Bringing in plants is a great way to do just that. They are inexpensive and can physically lower anxiety and improve your mood. So take some time to rejuvenate yourself and take in a bit of greenery.
Watch.
Earlier this week, artist Eugenio Ampudia and Max Estrella gallery collaborated with the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelon to reopen their doors for a concert. Not to a live audience, but to a concert hall of plants. After the show, all plants were donated to healthcare professionals working on the frontline fighting the spread of COVID-19.
Make.
Don’t have a green thumb but a crafty hand? Try making a plant instead of buying one! A bit of paper, glue, tape, paint, and patience is all you need. We particularly like the tutorials for fiddle fig, Japanese maple and polka dot begonia.
Listen.
They say talking to your plants makes them grow faster, but so does music. Put this playlist on and give yourself a break. It might help you relax a bit too.
